A Walk Through Sunshine Herbs: What You'll Find Inside Our Saginaw Store

Aisle by aisle through 1205 N Saginaw Blvd: the vitamin wall, the herb shelves, the cooler and the water station, plus hours, parking and what's coming online this year.
A Walk Through Sunshine Herbs: What You'll Find Inside Our Saginaw Store

If you've driven North Saginaw Boulevard, you've passed us. We're in the shopping center at 1205 N Saginaw Blvd, Suite H, and we've been here since 1994, long enough that a lot of families in this town have been coming in since they were kids, and are now bringing their own.

For anybody who hasn't been in yet, or who found us online and wants to know what they're walking into, here's the tour.

The counter comes first

Conversation at that counter is the actual product. Someone will say hello, and if you look like you're hunting for something, someone will ask.

The store's motto predates us: People Helping People. We took it seriously enough to keep it. That means we'd rather spend fifteen minutes helping you compare two labels than move you toward the more expensive bottle, and it means we'll tell you when the answer to your question is "that's one for your doctor." No high-pressure sales, ever.

The vitamin wall

The biggest section in the store, and the one that takes the most explaining. Vitamins, minerals, multis, B-complexes, D3, magnesium in half a dozen forms, fish oil, collagen, and the specialty formulas people come in asking for by name.

The brands you'll find on it include Nature's Sunshine, NOW Foods, Bluebonnet, Solaray, KAL, Natural Factors, Nordic Naturals, Garden of Life, Terry Naturally, LifeSeasons, Source Naturals, Doctor's Best, Trace Minerals Research, Barlean's and Bionox, among many others. That breadth is deliberate. It's how "I can't swallow capsules," "I need something third-party tested" and "my doctor told me to look for this specific form" all have an answer on the same wall. If the panels start blurring together, our guide to reading a supplement label is the short course.

Herbs, tinctures and teas

The part of the store the name comes from. Bulk-style herbal formulas, single herbs, liquid extracts and tinctures, herbal teas from Traditional Medicinals, Yogi, Bravo and Numi, and homeopathic lines including Boiron, Hyland's, Newton and Boericke & Tafel. Nature's Sunshine has been on these shelves for decades, and it's still one of the first places longtime customers head.

Digestion and gut health

Enzymes from Enzymedica, probiotics from Garden of Life, Vital Planet, Essential Formula and others, shelf-stable and refrigerated both, plus psyllium and fiber from Yerba Prima and Bob's Red Mill, aloe from George's and Lily of the Desert, and apple cider vinegar from Bragg. If you're not sure which of those three categories you're actually shopping for, our guide to enzymes, probiotics and fiber sorts it out.

Body care and essential oils

Soaps, lotions, deodorants, toothpaste, hair color and skin care from Dr. Bronner's, Desert Essence, Jason, Avalon Organics, Alba Botanica, Shikai, Giovanni, Thayers, Nubian Heritage and NaturTint. Essential oils and aromatherapy from Aura Cacia and Young Living, plus salves, balms and topicals from Tiger Balm, Real Time Pain Relief, Puremedy and Forces of Nature.

Grocery, snacks and the cooler

Not a full grocery store, and we don't pretend to be. What we carry is the set of things that are annoying to find elsewhere in town: Celtic and Redmond sea salt, Lakanto and Stevita sweeteners, Bragg vinegars and aminos, Bob's Red Mill flours and grains, Chocolove and Lily's chocolate, Betty Lou's and Epic bars, Pan's mushroom jerky, Texas raw honey, and a cooler with kombucha and fermented drinks from GT's, Humm and KeVita.

The water station

One of the reasons people come in weekly. We sell purified water by the gallon, along with the glass and stainless bottles, crocks, stands, jugs and spigots from New Wave Enviro to keep it in. Bring your container, fill it, done. It's the least glamorous part of the store and one of the most used.

Kids, pets and everything else

Children's chewables and liquids, prenatal formulas, pet supplements, sports nutrition and protein, first-aid basics, books, and a shelf of things that don't classify neatly but that somebody in this town needs every week. If you can't find it, ask. We know where everything is, and if we don't carry it we'll usually tell you who does.

About ordering online

Our website is new, and for now it's here to tell you about the store, not to sell to you. Anything you see under Shop is available in the store only. We're working through vendor permissions, packaging and shipping so that online ordering can open later this year. When it does, the brick-and-mortar store will still be the heart of this business. It belongs to Saginaw.

Common questions

Can I order from you online?

Not yet. Everything on the site is currently available in the store only. Online ordering is planned for later this year, and the newsletter signup on our home page is the fastest way to hear when it opens.

Do you carry Nature's Sunshine?

Yes, and we have for decades. It's one of the lines this store was built on.

Can you order something you don't stock?

Often, yes. Call us at (817) 232-4372 with the brand and product name and we'll tell you what we can do.

Do you refill water containers?

We do. Purified water by the gallon, and we sell the bottles, jugs and crocks if you need one.

Who owns the store now?

Michelle and Raymond Remo, since 2026. The staff, the shelves and the care haven't changed. Here's our story.

Come by and say hello. Bring the bottle you're not sure about. We'll be at the counter.
